Does the g string on an acoustic steel guitar break easier than the b and high e?
I haven't broke a b string, but I have snapped a g string by loosening it.
While Czar's technical explanation is theoretically correct, it is still very unlikely to happen often unless there is a burr in the bridge saddle or the nut. These are the most common causes for strings lower than the B to break frequently. This is a quick and usually inexpensive fix by your local guitar tech, if you are not comfortable doing a bit of micro filing yourself.
