How Long should i let my 2nd interstate battery in trunk charge?
i have 2 15 kicker l5 15's with a 2100 watt Hifonics Brututs amp putting out 1400 watts at 2 ohms, in a 1996 Lincoln Town Car. i have a stock alternator, a durlast battery under the hood and a interstate battery in the trunk for my system. My 2nd battery had recently died due to bad ground wiring.so now i have it up and running and i notice that anytime i bass at over 17 volume my bass will cut out but i will still hear music..i also noticed that my hifonics amp logo light flickers every time the bass hits.what could be the cause of that??? Could it be that i haven't let my 2nd battery charge enough? And how long should i let it charge for??? should i get a capacitor?
it sounds like the rear battery is dead, or has gone bad.i would take it out and take it to a parts store and let them check it and charge it.
