Clamp Key
is this capo for acoustic guitar good for beginners?
i don't have a lot of money so i need it to be cheap, i've seen this one on ebay but not sure if it'll work well? thanks in advance

I am among the few on this forum that advocate not using the capo because it will hinder progress in learning the fretboard. Other than obtaining crisp, clean chords in other frets if playing strictly rhythm guitar for others, the capo prevents learning the Chromatic Scale of notes and chords up and down the fretboard. It discourages the beginner from learning chords past the fourth fret and will hinder ultimate knowledge and expertise.
Learn how to play in the key of Eb and Ab for starters, using the chords that pertain to them. Once you can do that, you could play in any key signature without the use of a capo.
