Fender Rory Gallagher Stratocaster Custom Shop Tribute Electric Guitar

The Fender Rory Gallagher Stratocaster Custom Shop Tribute is an exact copy of the well used electric guitar that Rory Gallagher first purchased in 1961 and used until his death in 1995. The Fender Rory Gallagher Stratocaster is as close as new guitar can be to the celebrated original. Fender have copied every aspect right down to the extremely worn 3-Color Sunburst alder body, maple neck and rosewood fingerboard. Fender have even copied the modified aspects of the guitar such as five Sperzel tuners and one Gotoh tuner, and replaced the 12th-fret dot marker with white plastic instead of the original clay. Additionally, the guitar features aged chrome hardware, 21 medium jumbo frets and a bone nut and custom-wound 60's single-coil pickups.

The Rory Gallagher Stratocaster is made from select alder, while the neck is made out of maple in the 60’s style with a dark rosewood fingerboard. Although it's impossible to replicate ageing perfectly (the artificial ageing to the sunburst paintwork seems a little too exact in some areas) Fender have done an excellent job in making this new guitar look old.  That being said the Rory Gallagher Tribute is an extremely realistic and impressive copy of the original. The Rory Gallagher Stratocaster features the modern 9.5-inch fingerboard radius that represents the changes that were made to Rory's 1961 original (7.25 inches on the original). The Rory Gallagher Tribute has an authentic vintage sound that is produced by low-output pickups.
