Help with me guitar please?
So the other day, I bought a copy of Guitar Buyer Magazine from Barnes and Nobles and it came with one of those Ernie Ball Wonder Wipes for polishing the instrument. I plan on using it next time I change my strings, but I'm wondering if I can use that polish wipe on my Pickguard. I have a Fender American Standard Stratocaster if that Helps. Also, do you think 1 wipe will be good enought for the entire front of my instrument or the overall entire instrument. I also have another question, I'm debating on which of these I should buy. A Vox V847 Wah, An Elixir Cable, or a Camera with good sound quality, like the Zoom Q3. I only have one Pedal, and its a Boss BD-2 Blues Driver Overdrive Pedal, I've also heard the Elixir Cable and they sound so amazing! Also, a camera would be nice for my friends and I, and I also might do some guitar covers on Youtube. Which do you think would be best. I've really only got cash for 1 for now. Thank You!
I've been playing guitar since 1964 and have used a lot of cables. I've yet to find one that makes $69 worth of difference in tone. In all fairness, I haven't tried the Elixer, but I can't believe it makes that much difference, except in a studio or quiet room. So I'd pass on that. I own a vintage Vox Wah pedal and haven't used it in 20 years. If you think you'll use it a lot, maybe it's worth it but I'd pass. So for me, it comes down to the camera.
As far as the wipe....it'll be fine on the pickguard. That's another gimmick I could live without. I wipe my electric with a damp cloth...sometimes a squirt of furniture polish on the cloth. Use a clean worn out sock, it's cheaper than buying wipes.
