Bling, guitars, creative mind strike artistic chord (Biz Journal)
Amanda Dunbar sells guitars for as much as $75,000 and she said the whole idea
started off as a bit of joke. The 28-year-old Dallas artist has been covering
Gretsch, Gibson and Fender guitars with Swarovski crystals for a few years,
but her painting abilities have been grabbing attention since she was 16,
including two appearances on Oprah. Being a successful artist in Dallas takes
business acumen, Dunbar says, but she believes her genuine interest in various
forms of art has helped her pursue her dreams...
