Guitar Amp Speaker Question?
I'm looking at buying a new amp. There is a used one for cheap at a local guitar store that i'm looking at. My Question is if I thought i liked the sound of it in the store, and brought it home and played it and was dissapointed with the sound quality, could i buy a new set of speakers for it, such as Eminece Red Coats or the such? Would this help the sound quality at all? Or does the Head effect how the quality the most. Thank you.
Not car speakers, like Eminence Red Coats or Patriots, or whatever else they have, or Celestion speakers, They say Guitar Speaker on them. I don't think theyre for cars.
Guitar amps are a little more complicated than they seem. If your guitar sounded good clean, that doesnt mean it'll sound good distorted or with a wah pedal. I suggest a peavy amp they are pretty cheap, but are an awesome amp for the money. Don't bother trying to swap speakers with something from a car stereo speaker or home speaker, you'll just end up blowing them out.
