Which is the best guitar pick (plectrum) thickness?
Based on what I have seen, it appears that pro guitar players go for heavy picks. No doubt there are exceptions but does anyone know why heavy picks would be preferred?
Hi there,
I found this link, just scroll down to the 'thickness' paragraph. This explain how different guitar players in different genres use different gauge picks.
I use 1.0mm picks, dunlop tortex and gibson. I play heavy metal and find that a solid pick does a better job as apposed to one that bends a lot when strumming.
