What is better Marshall MA Series MA50C Combo or a Marshall Haze 40 combo?
i have been playing guitar for a few years now and its time to step up tp a much better amp so i just wanted to know which one of these two amps is beter for its price for a classic rock/blues guitarist???
I think both sound like ass.
Honestly, Marshall has fallen quite a long ways from their glory days of the 70's. Nobody pulls amazing tone out of a new Marshall... the best ones they make are replicas of the old school ones. Hardly anybody is even interested in new Marshalls (unless they are getting paid tons of money). Everybody wants the old ones.
There are plenty of much better amp manufacturers out there. Laney, Vox, Soldano, Bugera, Mesa, Engl... I suspect that you're looking to Marshall because of their reputation, but their current product lines don't have much of one. They survive on a name, not superior products. Take a look around and listen for yourself. It won't take long before you realize that there are much better things out there than a new Marshall. You'll also realize how much Marshall is charging you for putting their name on the front.
Hell, if you're playing blues and classic rock, you might want to try to track down an old Fender Bassman.
