Which is the best violin string for a solo artist?
I bought the pirastro tonica strings(mittel gauge) and I have to say that they are very thick and I have to say that I hate it
I don't understand
Is mittel and medium gauge string one and the same
It depends on you and your violin.
Obviously Pirastro isn't working for you
Try
Dominant strings
Helicore strings (much softer and nicer on your fingers)
Obligato strings
Red label strings
They all have different characteristics, and are good strings, but it all depends on your instrument.
Pick the string that feels best for you and sounds best.
