Mini Guitar Amp
What is the best mini guitar amp?
I want a someting pretty quiet before i move into an apartment. I want one pretty cheap. No more then $80. I was looking at the marshall ms4. Is this a good one or should i go for something else?
Personally, without knowing what kind of music you play I would recommend either the Fender Mini Deluxe, Fender Tonemaster, or a Pignose (the original, the 7-100).
The Pignose has probably the best credentials of any mini guitar amp. Tons of players have used them and Frank Zappa claims he recorded all of Over-Nite Sensation on a Pignose. It's an awesome little amp but useless for clean tones.
I've heard some iffy things about the Marshall's overdrive, but that's just through the grapevine stuff.
I suggest trying them all out firsthand or at least finding some youtube videos of each.
