Single Coil Electric
I was wondering if anyone knew of some realy good single coil electric guitar pickups, that dont cost to much?
I just bought a Peavey raptor for a good price, and was looking for a single coil pickup that could play heavey metal, like realy heavey metal, such as Bring me the horizon, Asking alexandria, and Mudvayne. I've looked at some Di marzio's ,and emg but havent found what I'm looking for...........PLEASE HELP!
For the music you are trying to play, you don't want a single coil. What you want is a humbucker that fits in a single coil spot. Try looking at whats called either stacked humbuckers or hot rails. They are essentially the same thing, but hot rails use a bar and stacked humbuckers use pole pieces to sense the strings. Check out the stacked Seymour Duncan JB, thats one of my favorites (for the bridge position). Single coils just don't have the bite or clarity that you are looking for.
