When Playing a 6-String Acoustic Guitar, How Do You Hold more Than 4 strings at a time?
Like playing an F...it's using all of your fingers! How do you do that??
You flatten your index finger across the appropriate number of strings all at the same time. It's hard to do at first, but over time it gets easier. Place your thumb on the middle of the neck, rather than wrapping it around, then press down with your finger, a little bit on the side. If you do this, you can have a slightly curved finger, which is more comfortable than a flat finger. Good Luck!
