A 300g block on a 50.0cm-long string swings in a circle on a horizontal, frictionless table at 95.0rpm.
a.) What is the speed of the block?
b.) What is the tension in the string?
How do I solve this?
For part a, find the circumference of the circle. 50*2*pi is about 314cm. It is traveling this distance 95 times a minute, so multiply 95 by 314. 95*314 = 29,830cm.
So its speed is 29,830cm/minute or about 497.17cm/second.
Not sure about part b.

Discography of Western Swing and Hot String Bands, 1928-1942 $175 The result of years of research by its authors, this discography strives to identify and trace the recorded development of the musical style now known as western swing from its early years through World War II.
