String Tuning Pegs
Guitar String/Tuning Peg issue?
While I was tuning my guitar, the tuning peg made a weird click noise and the string went loose. Now when I turn the peg, it does nothing to the string. Nothing appears wrong with it, but I know that there is some issue going on... Do you know what is wrong and what could fix it?

When you turn the peg, does the post spin? If not, then there's something wrong with your tuner....a stripped or loose gear. Some open backed tuners have an exposed gear with a screw in the center. If the screw loosened up, the gear could be slipping. Tighten the screw. Take it to a guitar shop.
If the post *is* turning but the string isn't tightening, it's possible that the string wasn't threaded correctly. It could have slipped out of the hole but still be wrapped around the post....appearing to be attached when it isn't. If this is the case, you may be able to re-thread the string but better to replace it.
