Telecaster Thinline
Best guitar for alternative and psychedelic rock?
Hey guys. I have playing guitar for about 3 years now, and I feel like im ready to take it to the next level and get some better equipment, starting off with a guitar that fits the standards of a pro. The current guitars i use are an Epiphone Les Paul Standard Plain Top and a Squier Telecaster Thinline. I am really into psychedelic rock, acid rock, grunge rock, shoe-gazing, alternative rock, and trip rock. My favorite bands include the Jimi Hendrix Experience, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Doors, Nirvana, Foo Fighters, Smashing Pumpkins, Sunny Day Real Estate, and the Gorillaz. I know that i have a wide range of music preference, so probably something like really versatile. I was looking into a Fender Jaguar, because of its unique offset shape. All help and suggestions are appreciated. (Fender is my favorite brand)
Woo hoo a Doors fan =D They're few and far between nowadays 
I would personally go for a Fender Stratocaster or a Fender Telecaster. Both amazing guitars, and a lot of guitarists prefer them.
David Gilmour, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jeff Beck, Buddy Guy, Jimi Hendrix, George Harrison, Buddy Holly, Pete Townshend, were some notable Strat players.
I would pick the Strat over the Telecaster if it were me. But the Tele is a bad ass guitar nevertheless.
